Hello Zionsville! Creative Umbrella’s New Graphic Design Studio

Creative Umbrella’s new graphic design studio is now open in Zionsville, Indiana. My family fell in love with Zionsville when we moved here four years ago from DC following my husband’s retirement from the Army. I grew up in Indianapolis and graduated from Indiana University. So moving here was like moving home for me. Zionsville held a special draw. If you are a fan of Gilmore Girls like me you’ll understand the reference when I say that Zionsville reminds me of Stars Hollow. From the local shops and restaurants down to the welcoming nature of the residents.

Fun Fact: The NBC television show, Parks and Recreation, used Zionsville to represent the town of Pawnee, IN.

The first person we met in Zionsville was Tania Roudebush, owner of Black Dog Books. She has since become a dear friend. When an office space became available in her building I leapt at the opportunity to open a graphic design studio there.

It has been an exciting summer setting up my space and I’m looking forward to the start of this next chapter for Creative Umbrella. My services include logo design, branding, print design, and signage & wayfinding.

I am so grateful to the Zionsville Chamber of Commerce for their warm welcome at my Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening on Thursday, August 26th, along with all who came out to support me and sent well wishes.

While I was happy working from home for the last eight years both in DC and right here in Zionsville, there were several motivating factors to open a studio:

  • Space / The need for a space to meet with clients has grown as I gain more local clients.
  • Visibility /  My family has loved becoming members of the Zionsville community for the last four years, but my business lived a pretty anonymous existence. Most of my clients were on the east and west coasts and I really want to grow my business in the community we know and love.
  • Community /  The new studio is located within Black Dog Books in downtown Zionsville on Main Street. I’m excited about being surrounded by a thriving community and dynamic businesses.

Thanks for everyone’s support! I want to give a special shout out to my husband, Ron Schow, and son, Hayden Schow, who helped set up my space. To Image360 Indy NW for fabrication of my signage. And to Abigail Gowin for branding photography.

If you’re in the area, please stop in and say hi! Check out the restaurants and shops in the village of Zionsville. It is truly a one-of-a-kind town and I am thrilled to join the businesses here. Most days you will even get to meet my “Senior VP” Charlie.

The new address is:
115 S. Main Street
Zionsville, IN 46077
